Local government uses research and statistics to meet objectives, make decisions and meet targets using sound evidence. In addition, the locally driven services and organisations provide strategic leads on the communities they serve and the management of local democracy. Assessment on performance must now take into account consumer and customer feedback.

This guide is for anyone involved in gathering feedback on citizens’ responses to service provision, gathering information in advance of any changes being planned in local services, and for those who want to use the templates as the framework for core questionnaires gathering in evidence for inspections.

NB: To use this pack you must have Keypoint installed on your computer.

These templates allow you to become immediately productive with Keypoint – you do not have to learn the entire product in detail before you can start producing your own questionnaires.

This is a breakdown of the contents of each of the templates. Suggestions are given for what audience the templates are best suited.

This section provides you with step-by-step information on how to open the templates and copy across questions you want in your questionnaire. It also tells you how to adapt questions you are using.

This section provides instructions for performing a quick analysis of the data in Keypoint.
