There is an expectation that the involvement of children, young people and their families or carers will increasingly become the ‘norm’ in the development and running of all children's trusts. The principle of children's involvement is effectively happening in practice through participation across a range of organisations.

Clarity about the objectives of any particular consultation or participation activity is essential. There should be transparency about how children and young people’s views will be used and when decisions will be made. It is important not to underestimate the capability of children and young people to understand the ‘big picture’.

This pack is an indispensable aid for gaining feedback for improvement in service provision and delivery. It can also be used to provide evidence for performance targets set for service providers and service commissioners.

NB: To use this pack you must have Keypoint installed on your computer.

These templates allow you to become immediately productive with Keypoint – you do not have to learn the entire product in detail before you can start producing your own questionnaires.

The survey pack consists of a User Guide in PDF format, and a set of Keypoint 5.5 example questionnaires (as a zip file).
