Ways to Present your Ideas as a Mind Map

Once you have created your mind map, Cornerstone offers you a number of ways in which to share your ideas with others.

As a visual tool, Cornerstone allows you to save your mind map in graphic format to any scale that suits your needs: BMP, GIF, PNG, JPEG, WMF, and EMF.

Click on the mind map below to view a higher resolution image - both versions of the Conservation Economy map have been exported from Cornerstone in GIF format.

Mind maps can also be printed to large-scale using the tile method of printing, selecting the number of sheets you would like your map to print across. Crop marks indicate how the printed 'tiles' fit together to create your finished map.

Exporting your mind map as a PowerPoint presentation is another useful option for when ideas need to be shared and communicated to a larger group of people. Your mind map is saved out with images and text included, as bullet points, for a clear and concise presentation. Click here to download the Conservation Economy map as a PPT file.

You can also export your work into a Word document, as an HTML file, or as plain text.

Here, a PDF version of the Conservation Economy map is available.

Mind maps can also be viewed in three ways within Cornerstone itself:

  • as a visual map in Mapping Mode
  • as a list of ideas in Outline Mode (see right)
  • as a step through presentation, to highlight key points, using the Presenter Mode.

Presenter Mode is controlled by you to step through your ideas at your own pace. Here is a short taster of what the Presenter Mode can do (as a short runable Flash file).
